The Pitch For The Film.
The Film is a teenage horror, its about a 6th form party, which gets run over by swarms of undead. the undead had came from sexually transmitted infection, they swarm the common room and force the teens to esccape from them. this could appeal to ages of teen to adult. we have discoverd from doing a survey on movies, the majority of the public would like to see a new zombie horror. this will appeal to our target audiance, we are aiming towards teenage to adults, due to the questionair thats the sort of ages that are looking for somthing like this to be released.
Equipment needed
Camera - i will use a camera from the media department, i will borrow it for a few hours during the time when iam filming. i will have to book the camera to be free in advance and go and pick it up from the department.
Tripod - the tripod will help the camera to be steady when im using it, i will obtain this by booking it in advance along with the camera so that i can go and fetch it with the camera.
Mac Computer - this computer will help me for when i wish to edit the film after i have filmed it, it will help me save and order the video clips how i wish and help me to organise the shots and add relevent sound effects and other features to help make my film effective.
Props - some of the props that I will need are fake blood, i will obtain the fake blood from the internet and local shops. this prop will help my film to become more effective and help to entertain the target audience. another prop that i will need is a cd player, this cd player is a crucial part of the film as it is part of the script and helps the storyline to unfold throughout the film.
The setting
the film will be firstly set out in the common room at school, the common room will include tables and chairs along with playstation consoles and the CD Player. this setting is relevent to the target audience because it helps the audience to understand the kind of situation and setting the characters are being placed in. from the common room, the setting will then change to the front part of the school, this is relevent as it is a part of the film where the characters end up running to. the film then finally will be set just outside a local cemetery which will be the last setting that we will be using. to obtain the use of the common room after school we have obtained permission from the head of 6th form in order to get the permission to use the block out of school hours.
time of the day (eg. lighting etc)
i will be filming the film during late afternoon, the reason i will be filming it at this time is that the film is suupost to come across as quite a sinister type of film so filming it when it starts to get dark will allow that kind of atmosphere to be conveyed throughout the film. the lighting inside the common room will be quite bright which will help to give the message that everything is fine and nothing is happening abnormably.

(luc gets up and walks to cd player)
Luc: yh yh, whatever boss
(turns it down, then switches music to heavy metal)
‘Dan quickly looks up’
Dan : what the hell playin at? Turn that crap down
(Chandre comforts dans frustrations)
Luc: shut up dan, don’t arse lick ya girlfriend
(Dan and tom stand up)
Chandre: Dan, leave it! (while holding his arms)
(Sarah holds luc’s arms back also)
Tom: Can you two grow the hell up!?
Dan: I will if he stops acting like a twat!
Chandre: (saracasticley) Like that will ever happen
Sarah: (shouts) Shut up yea!, do u wanna slap?
Chandre: oh shut up little girl
Sarah: whatever….bitch!
(sarah goes to stand by the door, while Luc and Daniel sit back in their original places acting like normal. All the characters periodaclly look at each other and smerk. Music is still playing in the background on the CD player)
Scene 2
!!!!!!Elipsis Of time!!!! About an hour later…
Tom: Well this is boring, you lot are such a drag.
Chandre: well tommy boy, you know where the door is (sarcastic smile)
Tom: well yea spose so, I guess ill be….(shouting coming from outside the room)
(doors slam and shouting can be heard by all of the characters, cuddles runs in being dived upon by zombies…all of the characters act stunned and immediatley jump up and run towards the fire exit, all the girls are screaming and shouting.)
(Luc is then Dived on By a group of zombies)
Sarah: LUC!!
(sarah attempts to run back but is then jumped at by a zombie and has to run away…she runs away crying)
(all of the characters run towards the gate near the pond)
Dan: oi, get over here!
(Dan helps all of the girls over the fence and the girls continue to run. Dan then runs back towards Luc in the hopeless attempt to save him and is presumed to be dead by the other characters. Meanwhile Tom runs in a different direction into the Humanities building. A shot of zombies running towards him is then seen from the other side of the building and it can be presumed Tom was killed by them)
(Sarah & Chandre are together running as fast as they can, and Sarah trips over. Chandre sees this and runs back, in that time the zombies had already got hold of her leg)
Sarah: Chandre!, help me!
Chandre: Iam sorry! Iam so sorry!
(Chandre lets go of her BROKEN arm and continues to run away towards the Church. She crosses the road opposite the school and trips over herself, she is then knocked out by her fall after hitting a wall)
Scene 3
!!!!!!Elipsis Of time!!!! About an hour later…
(Chandre wakes up slowly. A shot is used of her eyes opening, it then pans quickly to Hibby and his zombie-like self “grrrr”)

This Information i have fount will help me with my final outcome.
i have fount that the age range of the target audiance between 15-25.
the audiance research will help me produce a sucesful product, i have
information on all the key areas i need to focus on to make the procuct,
i have sorted through my data and fount the more popular anserws for
what the audiance are instrested in.
i have fount out that the people who had taken my survey find
the age group is more represented around teenage and early twenties.
they enjoy watching horror films.
i fount that they tend to watch them alot of the time
the most popular movies on the list was saw and the grudge
the most common sub-genre was thriller and sycological
people are mainly watching horrors on dvds.
and i have a good list of multible choice answers which
have gave me a very good insight into what to use more
and less of whilst doing my final product.

Twisted Pictures.
Ted Hartley, the owner of Twisted Pictures, a production company founded in 2002, from “Los Angelis CA”, they mainly create films of the horror genre. Movies they have made are very explicit, full of blood and gore. They have made such films as: Saw 1-6. Catacombs, Dead silence, and the Tortured. They gained a lot of attention through the saw movies.

Opening scene for saw v
The credits at the begining, show the main names of the compaines which made the film, for example when it opens with "Lions Gate." they show it in dark red clouds seperating apart to show a gothic, violent, serious approach to the film. The next name showed is a compaint called "Twisted Pictures", they show very contrasting colours by having a erey background with bold white letters bright but faiding into the dark at the bottom, this shows a very dark theme leading up to the film, bloody red barb wire then comes wrapping around the letters with a loud bang which changed the mood of the audiance to a more serious gorey approach, they then finish it off with a dagger falling into the middle of the name,
the opening credits to the film are in a golden rustic colour contrasting against the dark background, light shines through eash letter from start to finish to make the names stand out the the audiance, this is a way of making you remember the names and also a form of advertising,
the opening scene starts with a character in a darkend room, they use chiaroscuro lighting to refelct the fact he is really scared and trapped a high shot is used to show that he is made to look small and powerless.
we then see the pan of the character using low key lighting to reflect the mood and as it is in doors and in a dungeon setting. There is a close up of the character then the camera cuts to an eyeline match to show what he is looking at. we then see a close up of the puppett on the t.v, we then see a shot reverse shot of the puppet and victim.
Sorority Row
The opening sequence starts off with a group shot of all of the characters at a mid shot. This is to show them that they are wearing party clothes and that they are holding drinks, this signifies that they are at a party. There is a close up of one of the characters who is being spoken to which then cuts to a two shot of two other characters. This is so the audience can see the characters reactions of what has been said. The close up also shows that the characters are dressed up for a party as they have make-up on and their hair is styled. There is a shot reverse shot of another two characters talking. This is conventional of conversations between the two characters. The dialogue shows that they are young and we can tell this because of their accents and the language that they use. There is an eyeline match to show what the characters are looking at, there is then a close up of the laptop and cross cutting is used from the scene with the two characters kissing and the one with the rest of the characters. The music when one of the characters is choking gets progressively more fast paced to build tension. The lighting is low key while they are in the car, this is to reflect the mood and to show that it is night time. The camerawork gives a handheld effect which is to emphasise that they are in a car. When the characters are looking for rocks there is a mid shot of the boy and the music starts to play again, this shows that there is something going to happen with that character. It then cuts to one of the characters looking for something and there is a scream and the non diagetic music becomes more fast pace as one of the characters has just been killed and it is reflecting what is happening in the sequence. The camera uses the hand held effect again to show the urgency of the situation and to create more tension.
Opening Scene To Haloween.
In the opening scene of haloween(2007) we see michal, the main character of haloween, as a child in a mask, reflected through a window, this first shot is shown as a close-up of a scary clown mask, ovbiosly used to make the audiance feel uneasy by the evil face pulled on the mask. we see michal strokingg a rat repetativly which shows him to be a bit wierd. we then see a close up of the rat, a rat signifies ill things and being disgusting."even though rats are very clean animals :)." next we see michals mom and dad having an argument in the kitchen, they live in a very small council estate, type house, its clotted up with alot of rubbish, and old things which signfy they are very unclean untidey people, the mother is very pretty and theclothes and make-up she wears makes her contrast well to the surroundings showing she shouldnt be in a position like that, but when we see the step-dad he is a very dirty unclean scruffy person with a messy unkempt beard which makes us think he is a waster and a drunk, being that he spits food from his mouth whilst talking, he also swears very much, we see shot reverse shot of the mother and step-dad, then of the baby this is done to show us the expressions on the characters faces and who they all are. The step-dad then starts shouting at the wife which starts to add abit more life to the scene we hear the baby crying during the argument as the mom tries to calm her down, we then see the older daughter walk through the door it starts with a mid-shot showing from her feet to her waist, which shows her figure, she wears tight rather revealing clothes which implies she is trying to look appealing to certian people. we then see an older the shoulder-shot of the step-dad holding the cerial refusing to let the daughter have it. they then have there own little argument between the mother and daughter, after this we see her leave and walk upstiars to get the brother michal, we see a close up shot of the step-dad drinking his drink and being perverse saying how hott his step-daughter looks,
another argument brews between the mom and step-dad and things get thrown on the floor, there both shouting and screaming, the camera then moves to the older sister nocking on michals bathroom door calling him to come down staairs, we see a close up shot of him still in the mask, which then goes back to him washing his hands, he is cleaning blood off of a scaple, he then starts screaming so he cant hear his sister, this shows us also he is very mixed up in the head and quite mad, we then see a continues switch between a close up and mid shot of the step-dad saying that the son is messed up in the head and stupid. we see then a few shot revrse shots of the mother and the son in the mask still whilst in the kitchen which shows he is weird, that he stil hasnt taken it off even though he is with his parents. for the rest of the scene we just see a shot revrse shot of michal arguing with the step-dad, he pulls the mask of his face and then we see a close up of what he actualy looks like. through out this scene we hear digetic sounds, the radio in the background is playing music, we also hear ambiant sounds like cars and birds tweeting outside, which makes us know its morning during the scene.
